H2o Magazine : Name, age and current occuppation?
Gmunk : Name: gmunk; age: 23; occupation: Broadcast Designer.

H2o Magazine : How did gmunk begin?
Gmunk : Gmunk began during my senior year of college.. in beginning graphic design class.. we had to brand ourselves based on an animal we most resembled................. so the 'g' is the first letter of my last name... and the 'munk'... _well.. ................. enough said, right?

H2o Magazine : Your work is very eclectic and prolific, how would you define your work?
Gmunk : My work is basically a jam.. .. It's me feeling a groove and pushing it out.. it's simple expression... on a computer.... by clicking a mouse... and staring at a screen.. kinda sad, actually.. I wish I was a Finger-Painter.. ..

H2o Magazine : Where do you find the inspiration?
Gmunk : Most of it comes from music, photography and smokin' the green and observing the beauty around me..

H2o Magazine : In which area do you feel more confortable: video, web or print?
Gmunk : Good question.. I definitely go through phases... right now I'm defintely feelin' the print/video vibe...

H2o Magazine : Which tools do you use?
Gmunk : Print: Illustrator and Photoshop; 3d: Maya; Video: Premiere, Flash and AfterEffects; web: Flash.

H2o Magazine : Which was your experience in offf?
Gmunk : I had a blast... I've gone twice now.. It's a wonderful conference put together by wonderful people.. I'm bummed that Hector hasn't invited me back for a third time.. :(

H2o Magazine : What do you think of Spanish design?
Gmunk : I love Spanish Design... Your culture is rooted in music and has lots of soul.. so you can see that passion expressed in the Spanish Flavor of design..

H2o Magazine : Which differences do you find between european an north-american design?
Gmunk : I think European design is a bit more fundamentally sound and definitely more creative.. North American design is much more 'high-tech' and rigid..

H2o Magazine : Which do you think will be the next stop in the evolution of tendences in design?
Gmunk : I think the 'RetroPop-Candy Vector' fad has taken hold and will evolve into a new sort of 'high-tech' retro gig... But there's so much design these days, so it's hard to fix a trend..

H2o Magazine : How do you feel being one of the most noticeable designers at the moment?
Gmunk : I don't believe that at all.. So I definitely don't feel anything... There are SO many pimps out there that kick my ass...

H2o Magazine : Which are your projects for the future?
Gmunk : You'll see in the next update of the munk, sir.

H2o Magazine : Threeoh or 2Advanced?
Gmunk : Threeoh wipes 2Advanced with no mercy... Threeoh is easily one of the best digital artists in the world.. period.. There's nothing that James Widegren can't do.. ................ 2advanced, on the other hand, is very... well... limited and fixed to a style; although he executes that style extremely well..

H2o Magazine : 2d o 3d?
Gmunk : Depends... I like to mix them both.. that's when it gets fun..

H2o Magazine : Give an advice to those who are begining in digital design.
Gmunk : Practice the fine arts.. Study your surroundings... Find design in everything.. Smell colors.. Go to design conferences.. Meet a lot of people.. network and market yourself.. don't Sellout to the heads..
